December has started out bright, sunny – and cold at night! It’s usually a very pleasant month, no snow, no frost, just sunshine and little rain. We’ll see if 2020 follow the usual pattern. And then yesterday, 21st and Solstice, we witnessed the rare conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn low in the Western sky. Quite clear through binoculars – not been seen this close to Christmas for 800 years. Quite magnificent. Hope it is a good omen for 2021.
