Sella weather
May and for the first time in almost a year, Liz had a music engagement with her band, full uniform and tradidional tunes. All in honour of our local saviour, Saint Martha. She came sailing in to save he town from Berber pirates and the locals are ever grateful! But this event, playing in honour of Santa Marta at an old people’s residence, coincided with a high temperature of 27 degrees – not what you need dressed in heavy trousers, formal waistcoat and a long sash wrapped tight several times. But it was a good way to welcome in the Spring. This morning (8th) we heard the distantsound of gunpowder , rockets, mortars, traditional Mediterranean celebrations. Things are starting to feel a bit more like normal!
