October ends with the first day´s weather in November – logical if you see that the maxima record the previous 24 hours.
Wednesday 31st October
A whole month´s data recorded for the first time! Previously there has always been the odd gap or three when I wasn´t here to note the day´s readings. I supose it just refelcts that we´ve had no holidays at all in October…
Saturday 27th Octoer
Barometer fell to 996 and is still low, the Mestral (NW) wind blew up to over 30 kph last night and it´s a lot colder- 15ºc this morning. However, it´s a sunny day and the only rain was a few wild drops this morning at abour 9:00.
Saturday 20th October
It rained all morning – I noted the 24 hour total at about half eleven, 30.5 mm which equals 30.5 lites per sq metre = 1.2 inches. Not much but enough to send us down to the village as Rain Refugees waiting for our mud track to dry enough to drive back home.
Sunday 14th October
* Well it did rain yesterday but my rain meter didn´t record it. Not sure why not, last year it got blocked by bugs, I guess I´ll have to take it apart again
Thursday 11th October
Warm weather still with us – 30ºc yesterday in the Tram to Campello. Once again the Sella Fiestas enjoyed beautiful warm days and nights throughout – but last night a return to high winds, peaking at over forty kph early this morning. Showers forecast for Friday – we´ll see!
Wednesday 3rd October
So September finished with some decent rain – extremely heavy in one or two places but in Sella, just what we needed for the Olives, the land and in general, to reduce the fire risk. Now we´ve returned to days of sun and we are promised ( www.oratgenet.com ) temperatures over 30ºc for the foreseeable future.
