Casaroc Home Swap 2020

Swap your house for a two to four week break in Casaroc

We’re looking to exchange houses for a two to four week break next summer. (2020) July and August preferably, but June and September are also possible. Below you’ll find details of Casaroc – just what you’d get, and what we’re looking for This links to our commercial website with photos and videos – ignore the prices, Home Swap is for free!! .Casaroc in Sella

No money changes hands, we just swap houses for a while! Because we don’t actually live in Casaroc, you can come whenever it suits you, but we’re looking for two  to four weeks during   July  and August in Kent, Birchington, Minnis Bay ( our favourite ) Westgate, Margate or Broadstairs. We could be tempted by Portugal, Italy or France!! June or September are also possible.
We won’t be swapping cars, and in our house you’ll need one, so check out the rental situation,

Sella village – where you would stay

The village of Sella

Casaroc terrace – with the Puig Campana mountain.

CASAROC
This is a two bedroomed, four bed house  with  the possibility of a fifth, futon-style bed. Casaroc has a full bathroom, bath and shower, a well equipped kitchen with electric kettle and oven, gas hobs, washing machine, toaster, fridge freezer – NO microwave! It’s on two floors and has a rather fine terrace with a portable barbecue and a pergola for shade. The views down the valley and across to the mountains are quite magnificent.

SELLA
Our little village, population 600, is a lively but quiet place with two bar/restaurants in the main Plaza, three more down on the main road, and a sixth up at the pool during the summer.
There’s  a 60-strong brass band, a string , mandoline and lute  music ensemble, two dance troupes and a couple of local-language Rock bands. There was a  Jazz group. I don’t know where they get the energy!

July and August the municipal swimming pool is open – 10 minutes walk up the hill, with a little bar and cold, cold water and magnificent views. Entrance is about €1,70 adults, half for children, so it’s  a really economical way to deal with the summer sun!

BEACHES
Sella is 20 minutes from Villajoiosa with its lovely beaches, restaurants, bars and fishing fleet. Benidorm is 10 minutes more, but you don’t have to go there!! Down at Sella’s seaside town, Villajoiosa, there are 12 good beaches, ranging from rocky and tree lined ( Torres) to  a kilometre of golden sands ( Villajoiosa Playa Central)
La Vila Joiosa, Playa Central
Start of the Villajoiosa beach – with its famous painted houses.
Torres beach
The beach at Torres – Eucalyptus shade!

GETTING TO SELLA
I’ll give you full instructions if you choose to come, but the airport is 50 minutes away, you get on the motorway, turn off at junction 66 and then it’s 15 minutes up into the mountains.

WHAT WE SEEK

Preferably a two-bedroomed house, so our two children could come down from London, in Minnis Bay, where we have family and have been often in the past. But Margate, Broadstairs, Westgate, Birchington itself would be fine. If you have a place in London itself, well, we love London too.
